Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, or related field.
- Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for completion of a complex project on time.
- Will be responsible for overall project schedule and budget and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborate as needed with other engineering business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
- Perform and check complex engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to JLG as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
- Participate in the budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements and preparing justification data as required.
- Research, study, and propose use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
- Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards.
- Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
- Provide subject matter expertise leadership to a large technical staff to ensure program success.
- Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives.
- Provide leadership to the Business Unit (BU) engineering group as needed to support BU and Corporate business objectives.
