Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- Minimum of 1 year experience of an apparel product creation role or similar industry experience
- Technical materials knowledge, including yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of knits, wovens, ribs and print
- Experience partnering with vendor to develop and test a material from inception to production
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Digital literacy, including Microsoft office software and Product Data Management
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines across multiple seasons
- Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
- Ability to network and apply internal and external resources
- Ability to travel up to approximately 10% of the time
Responsibilities
- Explore ideas in textiles and print/pattern from trend through technological advancements.
- Collaborate with product creation team partners to deliver on the highest level of athlete experience with a commercialized materials palette grounded in sustainability goals.
- Drive seasonal material development in partnership with vendors and manufacturing teams from concept to commercialization.
- Request testing, track and create material solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with performance materials is highly desired
- Knowledge of industry material trends
