Requirements

  • Previous experience performing on stage in a Cirque du Soleil show
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret diverse instructions delivered in a variety of formats
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • If selected at ‘O’, one must be able to pass a swim test
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to travel as needed, sometimes internationally
  • Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Support Artistic and show leadership with casting and selection of new Artists; Integrate and re-integrate new or existing Artists into the show;
  • Consistently evaluate Artist performance by watching the show, creating positive and constructive environment that fosters feedback that provides growth opportunities, in collaboration with leadership teams;
  • Work closely with show leadership to ensure projects have the right teams assigned, considering both the project needs and the career development of the Artists;
  • Assess any capacity and utilization challenges across your Artist teams to proactively problem solve any issues, and encourage positive communication between you and the Artists with an open-door policy;
  • Lead daily and weekly Artistic team meetings, including but not limited to Tapis Rouge, team meetings with Performance Medicine, Coaching and the Artistic teams;
  • Work with Artistic leadership, Human Performance and Technical teams to elevate acrobatic performance;
  • Under the guidance of Artistic and show leadership, conduct annual performance review meetings with Artists, identifying top talent and growth opportunities;
  • Work with Heads of Departments, Production, Training and other Talent Managers to develop training plans for upcoming show needs and ongoing departmental talent development;
  • Plan schedules with Stage Management and other necessary teams to prepare schedules including finding covers/understudies, back-up acts, training or anything related to the Artistic Performance needs;
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned.
