Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience working on commercial Interior Design projects, corporate interiors experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines. Ability to research codes in various jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with a variety of personality types and in different roles
  • Strong space planning skills, with focus on creating efficiencies while driving innovative planning.
  • Extensive knowledge of design principles, aesthetics and general knowledge of budget tiers.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills, computer programs and interest in refining process efficiencies.
  • Innovative thinker and subject matter expert, possess thought leadership of industry best-practices.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude – must be self-motivated and self-managed and have the ability to multi-task and organize several projects at a given time.
  • Ability to work within the framework of an established process as well as be able to pivot when necessary
  • Capable of operating within a standard framework of design while also being aware of lead time and budget constraints and responding accordingly

Responsibilities

  • Manage design on multiple projects with various architectural firms during planning up to execution phases of projects.
  • Alignment with client’s design aesthetic and appetite for workplace innovation.
  • Understanding of client’s standard furniture configurations and finish applications.
  • Review of plans for Clients planning metrics, standard space configurations and inclusivity requirements above and beyond basic building code requirements.
  • Provide written, verbal and visual communication/direction to teams regarding planning, presentation or standards-related feedback.
  • Understanding of Client’s standard presentation formatting for test fits and Design Development packages.
  • Understanding of Client’s existing contracts and vendor relationships for furniture, finishes and architectural elements and ability to navigate exceptions and circumstances of when using non-standardized products.
  • Managing multiple signage package reviews over several regions and be able to manage tight timelines.
  • Expected 25% travel to project sites as required.
  • Client is expected to be in office 3 days per week, likely this role will need to mirror this schedule.
