Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Secret clearance
- BS/BA
- At least 10 years of experience
- Previous senior management experience in the delivery of technical and management services (Program Management and Operations execution)
- Capability to work effectively with a broad range of people with a wide variety of technical skills and experience
- Ability to react quickly in a rapidly changing environment, motivate and manage a team, and support staff
- Ability/experience managing professional personnel in a defense environment
- Ability/experience managing contract execution in a defense environment (hours, vacancies, funding, performance, quality)
- Ability/experience managing contract financial execution/tracking/expenditures in a defense environment
- Ability/experience interfacing regularly with Government clients (Military and Civilian) on all aspects of contract execution
- Risk management experience
- Defense Acquisition System experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams
- Strong negotiation skillset
- Strong personal organization skills
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
Responsibilities
- Serves as the contractor on-site program manager
- Provides day-to-day direction, management, and oversight for contractor personnel
- Provides expert functional guidance to employees
- Interfaces with Government management to resolve problems
- Resolves contractor personnel problems and issues when identified by the Government lead or Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR)
- Establishes priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectives
- Interfaces between Government customers, COR, and Contractor
- Performs other PM direct support functional roles
- Distribute and balance workload in accordance with established workflows and ensure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload
- Give on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices
- Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements
- Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspenses, and time frames for completion
- Assigns work to personnel according to workload, ability, and priority of assignment and provides instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issues
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training contractor employees
- Responsible for the performance of all contractual requirements
