Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership level role required.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and laws required.
  • Effective research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, and relationship management skills are necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members in other departments as well as regulatory agencies.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with multiple teams.
  • Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid working proficiencies of business operations, procedures, and priorities with a strong ability to support change and impart value within an organization.
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Slide’s insurance compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
  • Evaluate and implement changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations.
  • Provide communication, guidance, and training to other departments within Slide on compliance-related issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Write summarization reports and communicate new external regulations to senior leadership.
  • Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate in insurance Regulation and Compliance (ARC) is a plus.
