Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study, or equivalent experience
- Robust Full Stack (front end and back end) development experience
- Robust Java coding abilities
- At least 3 years in a software development role in a team environment
- Experience with web development
- Experience with Angular, Bootstrap and/or similar front end frameworks
- Spring, Spring Boot, and dependency injection
- Experience with IntelliJ, Maven, Github, and CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with: Object oriented analysis and design, Relational database concepts and SQL, RESTful API’s
- Customer service-oriented attitude and great time-management skills
- Ability to communicate across IT and Business roles
Responsibilities
- Playing a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for the design and production of mission critical, enterprise-scale business systems
- Translating requirements into system design specifications and the implementation of systems throughout the entire software development life cycle
- Developing a thorough understanding of the logistics business domain
- Maintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a whole
- Influence the design and technical direction of the system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing in and provisioning within a Cloud infrastructure
- Agile/SAFe leadership experience including continuous improvement of team processes
- Web-based and service-based architectures and deployment paradigms
- Experience with Data Fabric or Data Lake repositories and integrations
- Operating systems including Linux, preferable RHEL8
- Experience with Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Kafka
- Experience mentoring and/or coaching others in a team environment
