Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program studying Electrical Engineering, with an anticipated graduation of August 2025 or later.
- The ability to work with and understand technical concepts, while also being able to communicate them to non-technical personnel.
- Basic knowledge of the electric grid.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong skills and capabilities in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and designers in the physical and electrical design of substation upgrade projects.
- Review and update substation layout drawings including One-Line Diagrams, Electrical Arrangements and Sections, Grounding Plans, Conduit Plans, Lightning Protection Plans, Control Cubicle Arrangements, and Low-Voltage AC/DC Wiring Diagrams.
- Perform AC Systems Calculations and Design.
- Development of Equipment Specification and Selection based on Clients Criteria.
- Development of Bill of Materials based on Design Criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program studying Electrical Engineering or related field, with an anticipated graduation of August 2025 or later.
- Knowledge of power systems.
- Advanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel.
