Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or similar roles.
- Proven experience creating and publishing technical content, especially video tutorials on platforms like YouTube.
- Strong programming skills in Python, frontend data visualization frameworks like Streamlit, and familiarity with AI agents, LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, PGVector, Milvus), and data integration workflows.
- An established presence in the AI, data movement, open-source, or Python community (e.g., blog, YouTube channel, GitHub contributions, conference talks).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging, high-quality technical content (YouTube tutorials, conference talks, blog posts, live coding sessions, and webinars) that demonstrates the value of Airbyte in data and AI-driven applications.
- Develop video tutorials on topics such as integrating Airbyte with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), deploying AI agents, and optimizing LLM-powered data pipelines.
- Actively engage with the AI, data engineer, and open-source developer communities (GitHub, Stack Overflow, Reddit, Slack, Discord, etc.).
- Provide guidance and support to data engineers and AI practitioners using Airbyte for data movement, analysis, and AI agent workflows.
- Identify community pain points and relay feedback to the product and engineering teams to improve the developer experience.
- Build sample projects, proof-of-concept demos, and open-source contributions to demonstrate Airbyte’s capabilities in powering AI agents, similarity search, and data movement use cases.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure documentation is developer-friendly and highlights AI-specific use cases.
- Represent Airbyte at industry conferences, webinars, and workshops focused on AI, LLMs, and data engineering.
- Advocate for best practices in building AI-driven pipelines, integrating LLMs with real-time data, and leveraging vector databases within the community.
- Collaborate with ecosystem partners (vector database providers, LLM platforms, cloud services, and open-source projects) to create joint content and developer initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
- Strong video / content creation skills and how to make YouTube videos and shorts pop.
- Knowledge of Airbyte or other data movement platforms.
- Background in data engineering and traditional integration patterns.
- Experience integrating vector databases and LLMs for semantic search or AI-powered applications.
- Familiarity with AI agent orchestration (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT) and MLOps workflows.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and scalable data processing pipelines.
