Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with some experience leading a small team in an IC leadership or EM capacity
- Ability to work comfortably with a cross-functional team of PMs, Analysts, and mobile and back-end-focused engineers
- Experience leading a team that regularly created high-quality output on top of critical infrastructure
- Creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude
- Ability to create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment
Responsibilities
- Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and build new features
- Drive the design and implementation of new product areas and features
- Guide your team through ambiguity and ensure technical excellence through rapid experimentation cycles
- Guide your team to strong execution —make pragmatic decisions, and guide teams to launch MVPs quickly and iterate based on feedback
- Lead team through frequent pivots and evolving priorities in a fast-changing environment
- Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for different teams
- Be a mentor and coach for the engineers on your team
- Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products
