Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in either a data or software engineering related field
- Experience in Looker, Tableau or a similar BI tool
- Experience building transformations in dbt and can fluently communicate with Analytics and Data Engineering
- Able to translate business needs into technical requirements for Data Science, Data Engineering and Analytics functions
- Experience in a high-growth D2C and/or subscription business
- Expert-level analytical skills and a proven track record of using data to drive customer-facing impact and business results
- Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of relational databases and how to leverage a wide-variety of data structures to drive insights and power customer-facing communications
- Detail-oriented and proactive, thriving as a self-starter and excelling in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving and communication (both written and verbal) skills and can prioritize tasks effectively
- Able to build strong cross-functional relationships, effectively facilitate discussions and drive consensus
- Experience leveraging data to drive strategic insights
- Love for dogs
Responsibilities
- Lead the Analytics in the Vets space on data infrastructure, reporting and analytics needs with focus on improving acquisition efforts, engagement and adoption
- Lead and grow a highly engaged, impactful Analytics group by providing career growth, support and effective feedback, ensuring executing for impact
- Define and execute the vision, roadmap and strategy for the Vets Analytics group by establishing goals, making clear prioritization decisions and communicate to the stakeholders on progress towards analytical goals
- Dive deep in our data to uncover insights that allow us to methodically remove friction from the experience across key business areas
- Identify patterns hidden in our data and push the boundaries on insight generation and action by effectively connecting the dots across the business
- Build frameworks for rapid Experimentation design and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to gather business requirements and design scalable data architectures that meet analytics needs and support business goals
