Requirements

  • Knowledge of international shipping, customs, and export regulations preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with export documentation preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with export management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges in export operations.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review all necessary export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin to ensure compliance with international trade laws and company policies.
  • Coordinate shipping arrangements and work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Serve as a point of contact for international customers regarding export orders, providing information and resolving issues related to shipping, delivery times, and customs clearance.
  • Process orders, record and document customer interactions and transactions accurately.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams (sales, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth processing of export transactions.
  • Identify and address potential risks in the export process, including delays, damages, or compliance violations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service.
  • 1+ years’ experience in export documentation.
