Requirements

  • Minimum five to seven (5-7+) years experience in a production role for 3D, VFX and/or games
  • Proven experience in virtual production, VFX, 3D production, games, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.) and 3D production including DCC & render tools
  • Project management and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with creative, production, and technical teams and liaise with clients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the virtual production pipeline, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet creative and technical standards.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, track project milestones, and manage resources to keep production on track.
  • Serve as an in-house expert on VAD toolsets (3d DCCs, Unreal, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and ensure smooth integration between hardware and software for production-ready project files.
  • Act as the POC between creative and VAD teams, translating creative needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
  • Update stakeholders on project status, address any challenges and manage client expectations.
  • Integrate the latest in virtual production technology and best practices in VP projects.
  • Review changes with the creative team to ensure all changes are implemented.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain a high standard of visual fidelity and immersive experience.
  • Create and manage project budgets.
  • Provide cost estimates, negotiate vendor contracts, and communicate changes in project cost as they arise.
  • When on set, oversee all technical aspects of virtual production, from setting up equipment to calibrating systems. Ensure all technical components align with the creative vision and troubleshoot any real-time production issues.
