Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- Enthusiastic about working on a broad range of technical challenges across the stack
- Attention to detail in designing a product with deep user empathy: in visual UX, API design, and everything in between
- Excited to engage with customers directly to shape the Orb product
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate (with support from Orb)
Responsibilities
- Tackle a broad range of technical challenges with the team
- Ensure the product data model is simple to understand and powerful enough to support sophisticated business needs
- Maintain scaling characteristics to support real-time ingestion and query, addressing performance, consistency, and load isolation
- Lay the groundwork for engineering and product processes to enable quick building and customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Have worked on developer-facing products or an internal platform team
- Have experience working on large-scale data infrastructure problems or distributed systems
- Enjoy understanding the nitty gritty of technical domains deeply
