Assistant Professor of Clinical – Pediatrics – Neonatology

Requirements

• Active Florida Medical License
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties include Neonatal Attending in the Neonatal Services at Jackson Main, Jackson South and Jackson North Hospitals providing medical care for neonates in these units on a 24 hour 7 days per week rotational schedule.
• Providing antenatal consultation for high-risk pregnancies.
• Assistance with the care and stabilization of infants in the delivery rooms.
• Providing medical care in the pediatric intermediate unit.
• Conducting daily rounds on patients in the different neonatal special care units.
• Some administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service.
• Active participation in teaching and educational activities of pediatric residents, neonatal fellows and medical students.
• Development and participation in original research either clinical or translational for which extramural funding should be sought.

Preferred Qualifications

• Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred
