Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Power Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Economics, or related field of study.
- 1-3 years of Power Market or Energy Industry experience.
- Experience or knowledge of SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
- Experience working with large datasets. Modeling experience is a plus.
- Proficient writing skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and analyzing power markets datasets that guide FactSet clients’ decisions.
- Understanding how energy transitions and political changes impact existing power plants and the development of new ones.
- Building and maintaining databases of global wind, solar, and thermal plants, along with other essential energy datasets and analyses.
- Gaining expertise in the regulatory and market environments in which these plants operate and how these factors influence their operations and profitability.
- Demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, addressing tasks with rigorous, timely analysis. Understanding how data and analysis are utilized by clients.
