Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science ideally in chemistry or related physical/biological sciences
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational/multi-task skills, ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Hands on experience working with analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, NMR, and titration techniques
- Self-starting motivated person who possesses good interpersonal skills and who can effectively interact with cross functional teams
- Flexible – able to rapidly respond to new situations and perform multiple tasks
- Must have good organizational and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player with integrity and concern for the quality of company products, services and staff members
Responsibilities
- Provide timely routine analytical support using GC, GC/MS, HPLC, Titration, NMR and other analytical techniques as assigned to support manufacturing operations
- Follow work instructions for methods already in place
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment according to lab specific procedures
- Develop/maintain SOPs, work instructions, control charts, certifications of testing equipment, reports, and audits including MSA and V&Q documentation
- Aid in continuous improvement efforts for existing analytical methods to meet growing customer demand
- Track analytical job progress in Labware LIMS and manage sample queue in the analytical lab
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration as needed
- Maintain and support lab practices and documentation per relevant ISO 9001 requirements
- Accurately document experiments and results
- Provide support to other scientists as needed and assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrate familiarity with elements of ISO:9001 & 17025 quality management related to quality
- Tests and analyzes raw materials, in-process samples, and finished manufactured materials in a timely manner
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
- Strong independent operation skills and ability to complete lab work safely
- Ability to learn and become proficient with several other analytical techniques as assigned and required by specific job function
