Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in industrial maintenance, operations, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Experience in managing a team and coordinating maintenance schedules and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance mechanics and electricians, including facilitating daily meetings.
  • Assign tasks and prioritize maintenance activities based on urgency, safety, and operational needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and participate in the routine inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and building systems.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are followed and updated regularly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead safety training and ensure the team follows proper safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Manage compliance with environmental regulations and ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for maintenance operations.
  • Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts, tools, and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance performance, costs, and other relevant metrics such as KPI reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and enhance the overall maintenance program.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
