Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of experience in physical security operations, with at least one year in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and senior management.
- Familiarity with security industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the Physical Security Operations Center team, ensuring optimal performance in monitoring security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, providing clear instructions to staff and coordinating response actions.
- Implement, and update security procedures and protocols to address evolving threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the continuous improvement of physical security measures, staffing, scheduling, and technologies.
- Integrate with security contractor for interviewing and onboarding of new employees.
- Assist in conducting regular training to include tabletop exercises and drills for PSOC staff to enhance their response capabilities and adherence to security protocols.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on security incidents, breaches, or significant events for management.
- Monitor threat intelligence software to analyze and mitigate operational and reputational risk for the organization.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to physical security.
- Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations related to physical security.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Physical Security Operations Center related matters during off-hours, on-call as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in security management or a related field (e.g., PSP, CPP).
- Experience with use of C-Cure 900, Victor and/or Dataminr.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
