Responsibilities

  • Leads a price execution and compliance team that is responsible for executing price activity and managing integrity issues, including trouble-shooting error correction with merchant partners and executing respective solutions on their behalf as necessary. Support follow up and issue resolution as needed, perform analysis to determine magnitude of issue, keep prompt and clear communication with stakeholders, incl. leadership.
  • Accountable for managing and communicating price action activity as required to support store labour forecasting and annual pricing targets. Analyze and evaluate the impact of key variables, leveraging GPI and PCST data sources, combined with trait knowledge, to ensure reporting is accurate, easy to understand, and provides the visibility necessary to drive action and assess trends and risk.
  • Ensure consistency in planning and execution processes, standardized reporting and application of best practices across category teams. A key stakeholder in price execution technology development, this individual is responsible for putting forward requirements by assessing trade-offs across multiple needs/functions, and ensuring tech solutions help to improve transparency and remove barriers that affect pricing accuracy and efficiency as related to execution.
  • Continuously work to drive improvements in current cross-functional processes and systems, acting as a subject matter expert on Pricing and Promotions execution processes and tools, as well as associated business and compliance rules. Apply this knowledge to the development, execution and improvement of action plans.
  • Accountable for the governance and onboarding process for Pricing, including documenting requirements to support training of new team members as well as new Category Manager and/or Category Team Analysts on core pricing systems and processes. Liaises between the Pricing team and the merchants as new pricing technologies are rolled out to the organization and is the point of contact for support as required.
  • Transform the team, its day to day processes, and output by developing new ways of working within the team and cross-functionally, setting standards, and building new tools/processes to drive accountability and performance through innovation and technology. This will include reinventing the pricing execution process, promotional integrity review with Marketing, as well as the price change dashboard with Ops and Technology teams.
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization to gain alignment on Pricing Execution strategies, incl. promotional pricing, and Business Compliance rules.
  • Act as the liaison to Compliance/Legal for Merchandising. Responsible for corporate compliance initiatives related to merchandising systems and processes for item file and point of sale process.
