Requirements

  • High school diploma and two years of administrative experience or Associate’s degree and one year medical experience or a Bachelor’s degree
  • Typing speed of 25CWPM
  • Computer experience required
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Guest relations experience
  • Ability to operate equipment including computers, printers, fax machines, multi-line phone system, and typewriter

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients
  • Facilitate accurate and timely completion of registration
  • Distribute all paperwork necessary for patient care
  • Work closely with physicians and nurses to provide optimal ambulatory health care
  • Apply guest relations policies to patients, physicians, and co-workers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred
  • Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred
